CRUISING IN THE ANKARA JACKET
March is already knocking at our door. I’m shocked at how fast the year seems to be unwinding itself. Days are rushing but as we welcome the new month, I am very happy because every new season pushes me into coming up with new and unique fashion styles. Just yesterday we wrapped the month of love; February. Nevertheless, I hope your significant other made you feel special and that your heart skipped a couple of beats. Besides that, I hope you looked glamorous and the dinner was not the only snack served on that day. I hope you catch my drift though **winky eye**
I hope it’s not too late to talk about LOVE because we are in a new month. We have all fallen in love at some point in our lives like you were so obsessed with this particular human. You dressed up for them, cooked for them, bought them gifts, invited them to family functions or ‘okoad the jahazi’ just to check up and the whatnots. To make matters worse you thought they were ‘the one’ and they ended up breaking your heart into million pieces. When love goes sour, it corrodes your bones. It’s such a nerve-racking experience but I believe it’s there to teach us a lesson. We are in a generation that has contaminated the definition of true love. It’s being measured on beams of materialism, jealousy and any other thing you can think of. All these have made some of us feel like there is no true love out here. True love does exist and it’s BUILT. I guess we ought to let God write our love story and wait on the right time.
Anyway, enough with the lovey-dovey talk. Well, today’s look has a touch of the Ankara. I decided to do a casual outfit which made me feel like the next Miss Universe Africa *ha-ha* ready to go and walk the run-away …I’m sure my faithful readers know how Ankara fashion is one of my fashion obsessions. I decided to do an African jacket and I looooove how extra the sleeves are. (The bell sleeve). What I love about the Ankara jackets; it can serve an official look which normally adds some touch of maturity and casual look which adds some touch of class and sass but maintain simplicity. For instance, my look could be for a wedding, chama with my girls, weekend meetings or even a date! Get yourself an Ankara jacket and see how it will revamp your outfits! Be sure you will also stand out!
Have a lovely weekend and Enjoy the post, my lovely readers!
