Shanniq: Where did I put my woollen sweater?

Also Shanniq: I also need to add on a trench coat. This cold weather is literally getting under my skin.

My Brain: I need to keep warm and still look eye candy with my baby bump. It’s also a fashion crime, to look over-dressed.

Greetings Mobster Fans. I trust this article finds you well. These conversations are the ones I have been having with myself lately. Nairobi weather can be very bipolar. One minute, it’s all sunny and warm then in just a blink of an eye, WINTER.

Now that I am pregnant, I am very cautious about the climatic changes. Recent research shows that pregnant women who are exposed to extremely high levels of heat or extreme cold stand a chance to give birth to babies who are underweight. I read that online and my brain quickly reversed its gears to protection mood. I am not about to put my little baby through such torture.

After that revelation, I was burdened in my heart to share with pregnant ladies, the best outfits to rock your baby bump irrespective of the cold weather. Well, as I had mentioned earlier, my ultimate goal with my Baby Bump Look Book Series, is to largely motivate women to embrace their curves and edges even with the baby bump, as it is what makes them beautiful.

I understand the insecurities that women have especially when they are pregnant. My desire is to inspire you to show off your new body with fitting clothes. You can still slay and look eye-candy as no cold weather fashioned against you shall prosper. Lol.

In this cold season, be considerate on the type of material you purchase. I strongly recommend woollen or cotton outfits as the materials naturally have a warmth effect on the body.

A very crucial fashion tip to keep in mind is DO NOT OVER DRESS. Lest the fashion police come hunting you for violating fashion offences.

Well, the look I have today, is a woollen turtle neck dress that I paired up with brown knee-length boots. First of all, Brown and Nude colour are one of my favs. Since we all know black on black is the trend I thought of doing brown on brown and it never looked so goooooood!

The weather has been so cold lately and for me to feel warm, I opt for woollen body con dresses because I feel comfortable and I don’t have to worry about my bump been pressed. The advantage of this dress is that it’s woollen and I don’t have to overlay it. I can just pair it with a trench coat/leather jacket or kimono to top up the warmth. You can also rock such a dress with sports shoes or sandals whichever makes you f

As we fight COVID 19, I just want to remember all the pregnant ladies in this season! May God protect you and your little human, May he watch over you and provide for you.

Enjoy the Post Lovelies and I hope y’all are learning some baby bump style tips.

Thank You for all your kind messages! Lots of Love!
